Off the noise
The Quiet Room
No word at this door. No diamonds, no drinks, no music. Just a room off the noise to breathe, think, and be honest with yourself for a minute.
Breathe
Only breathing matters more.
In for four, hold for four, out for six. A few rounds is enough to bring a busy head back down.
Off shift: a four-minute meditation
Somewhere you can sit for a few minutes. One line at a time; it moves on by itself.
When you're ready, press begin.
Move it out
A long shift lives in your back, your legs and your head. A few slow minutes of movement on your day off goes a long way.
A gentle class for tired legs and a stiff back. No mat skills needed.
Slow, flowing movement and breath. Calm for the body and the head.
The trade can push you
We love this trade. It's also a trade where drink is always within reach. The shift drink becomes every night. The after-party becomes the only way to come down. You're the life of the party for everyone else, and nobody asks how you are.
Late finishes, broken sleep, eating on the run, money that comes in tips and goes out the same night. None of that makes anyone weak. It just means it's worth checking in with yourself now and then, honestly.
You and your drinks
Drink Think began with one idea: help people redefine their relationship with drinks. All of them. Water, tea, coffee, soda, sugar, wine, beer, spirits.
The best way to drink is with food. That's where the cocktail comes into its own: something to open the appetite before dinner, something to close the night after it, in harmony with the meal. Nobody was ever meant to drink ten of the same cocktail in one night.
Eight quick questions to see where you are. Just for you: nothing is saved or sent.
A mirror, not a medical test. If drinking worries you, talk to someone you trust and to your doctor.
Questions to sit with
No right answers, and nobody's keeping score. Take one, and let it sit for a minute.
When did you last have a night off that you really enjoyed?
Small things that help
- Make your shift drink an alcohol-free one, a few nights a week.
- Eat a proper meal before service, not a handful of garnish.
- Protect your sleep on your days off. Go home first, sometimes.
- Tell one person you trust how you're actually doing.
- If you run a bar, ask your team how they are, and wait for the real answer.
- Take the day off you keep putting off.
If it's more than a bad night
If drinking has stopped feeling like a choice, or your head's in a dark place, you don't have to carry it on your own. Talk to someone you trust, and speak to your doctor.
